Dubai has another “trick” in its sleeve…the World’s biggest observation wheel is taking shape on a man-made Bluewaters Island in Dubai Marina’s JBR Beach and for sure, will take your breath away!
The main Hub and Spindle were lifted into place are made of steel, similar to that used for nuclear plants. Both parts were manufactured in the UAE.
The assembled hub and spindle is 40m long ,20m high and weighs 1.805 tonnes, which is equivalent of four A380 aircrafts.
Once ready and spinning next year, the total height should be a staggering 210m ( 689ft ). Also, the official name was announced and its now called Ain Dubai. ( Eye in Arabic )
