3. PortAventura

Celebrating 20th birthday this year, PortAventura is ever growing finest European theme park with a fantastic range of rides and shows.

Near Barcelona and Reus Airport, it is very easy to get to and it’s the best to connected with a beach vacation in holiday city of Salou.

I have a soft spot for this amazing place as this is the place where I conquered my fear and become rollercoasters junkie. I can still feel the adrenaline rush when plummeting down from the lift hill of red Dragon Khan coaster.

Since then Dragon Khan was overgrown by European tallest mega coaster 76m high Shambhala. Cant’ wait to try it.

You really need a comfortable shoes, the vastness of the park ,distances and the heat will test you to the limits. I would really recommend couple of days in here to fully enjoy and get some tan on the way to launched super fast Furious Baco coaster or new Cambodian themed battle water ride Angkor.

Theming and attention to details is immaculate and each “land” transports you into far away lands in no time.

Park is divided into lands as a China, Mediterranean or Wild West and has few nice hotels on site you can use as a base for your fun filled days.

For next year PortAventura expects to grow with a new Ferrari Land and i just hope it will be a better success then it’s precedence in Abu Dhabi.
